Clearsphere is fortunate to have a team with broad training backgrounds and diverse experience.

Susan Woolsey has been involved in the building industry, in particular energy efficient and green building programs for the past 20 years.  While working with the Ontario Home Builders Association she was Manager of Training & Education, Marketing and Renovation projects.  As Operations Manager to the EnerQuality Corporation, Susan managed the R2000, ENERGY STAR and EnerGuide programs in the Province of Ontario.  As an independent consultant Susan has worked on various energy and green building projects with Canada Mortgage and Housing, Ontario Power Authority and Natural Resources Canada as well as working with individual builders and professional organizations.

Howard Chau manages the ENERGY STAR for New Homes, EnerGuide for New Homes and R-2000 projects, including the home energy modeling in Hot2000 and RemRate, and the HVAC design for custom homes for Clearsphere since 2008. He has a Bachelor of Architectural Science, is a Certified Energy Evaluator and has been trained in Energy Evaluation for Multi Unit Residential Buildings.

Gillian Lind manages the sustainable programs such as LEED Canada for Homes and GreenHouse Certified Construction for Clearsphere. Prior to consulting with Clearsphere, Gillian worked as a senior architectural designer and project manager of residential and mixed-use projects with a focus in high-end custom residential and sustainable design. She has an Architectural Degree from Carleton University and a Graduate Diploma in Non-profit Management from the University of Western Ontario, is a LEED® Accredited Professional, Certified Energy Evaluator, and has training in the Canadian Passive House Standard, and Energy Evaluating Multi Unit Residential Buildings. Gillian is interested in the synergies between design and building science, and enjoys exploring this dynamic through her work.

Peter Reynolds has been a Certified Energy Advisor since 2004 – rating approximately 250 EnerGuide for New Homes, 900 ENERGY STAR homes, certifying 30 R-2000 homes and performing 400 ecoENERGY audits in Ontario.  Prior to 2004, Peter had 20 years experience as a project manager for residential and commercial construction. He is a member of EnerQuality Corporation’s Evaluator Council, founding Board Director of CRESNET, and on the Energy Audit Program Advisory Committee for Durham College.

    Mike Lewis is a Certified Energy Advisor with Clearsphere for more than 4 years, rating and inspecting approximately 3000 ENERGY STAR homes and 1000 EnerGuide for New Homes inspections.

    Matthew Duffy has been providing Green Rater services for LEED Homes and New Construction at Clearsphere since 2009 and has been a Certified Energy Evaluator/Advisor since 2006. Following 4 years construction experience, Matt was a project manager executing the construction $100,000-$2,500,000 contracts for various types of clients including builders, condominium corporations, housing co-operatives, and real estate property management corporations.
